Map showing the plans for a proposed horse railroad route from Lynn to Peabody in 1883. The 26" x 52" map shows the area around Washington and Main Street. Included are the location of buildings, but not all of them are named and no property lines are shown. Streets shown on the map include: Lowell Street; Central Street; Foster Street; Main Street; Peabody Square; Park Street; Wallis Street; Washington Street; Sewall Street; Pleasant Street; [ unknown ] Way; Oak Street; [ Unknown ] Way; Washingotn Place; Mason Street; Clement Count; Parsons Court; Lowe Street; Daltons Court; Hancock Court and Hancock Street. The South Church and the Sutton Home are listed on the map. The survey of the land was done by Charles A. Putnam who was a civil engineer in Salem MA. in 1883. |
