Maps show the plans to make alterations on the Center School to create a number of fire escapes for the school. This plan shows the layout of the first floor and basement. There were four classrooms on the first floor In the basement was two toilets. These fire escapes came after many years of discussion, fire escapes were planned for the Center School. The architect was McLaughlin & Burr at 88 Tremont Street, Boston. The mape was originally made on August 2, 1920. It is unknown what happend to the original.
