One Blunderbuss, length 34", width varying from 2" to 5"
Donated in 1865 by Alvah G. Burroughs, a South Danvers farmer, who either brought it home as a Civil War souvenir or used it in battle himself.
According to records the Salem Cadets mustered in May 26, 1862. They were stationed at Fort Warren, Boston Harbor and mustered out October 11, 1862. They served there to free other troops for duty in the south.
