Object Name Medal
Description A World War I veterans medal given to soldiers from Peabody, MA. Front has the seal of the United States Armed Forces, with the dates 1917-1918. In Latin above states, "
Pro Patria", which translates to "For One's Country." The back of the medal has the inscription of, "Presented to_____ by the city of Peabody Mass in grateful recognition in services in the World War. The ribbon is in the tricolor standard of Red, White, and Blue. The award was never given, and is most likely a spare medal and considered military surplus.
