|Summary||Kenneth C. Turino and Stephen J. Schier put together a photographic history of Peabody using photos from the Peabody Historical Society; North Shore Jewish Historical Society in Lynn; The Sea Witch and various private owners of photographs. The book is broken into sections: George Peabody; Houses; Street Scenes; Recreation and Celebrations; Business as Usual; Public Safety; Churches, Public Buildings, and Cemeteries and Schools and Sports. The book shows off Peabody's in ways that other books have not by using images to tell the story and have short descriptions helping to give context for each image, though other photo books would come after this one "Peabody" would help to set the standard for future books.|
