A document that may have been created by the staff at the Peabody Institute Library. This one page includes his last will and testament along with a description of him when he went to Liverpool in 1827. George Peabody required a passport for a journey to Liverpool, England and this document, signed by Henry Clay, then Secretary of State, give an accurate picture of George Peabody's physical appearance at the time. The document was signed on October 27, 1827.
