Object Name Book
Scope & Content A copy of the George Peabody’s letter and donation of 150,000 pounds to start the Peabody Trust in London in 1862. The letter outlines George Peabody's previous donations and his intention to make a Trust for the Poor of London. Also included is a reply from Trustees of the newly founded Peabody Trust. The letters are ceremonial calligraphed.
