Map shows present boundary line contrasted with proposed change. The map was created by Charles A. Putnam of Salem who conducted the survey in November of 1895. It should be noted that the proposed change never took place.
The map does not show property lines, but streets and and the boundary line with Salem and Danvers. The Streets include: Mount Vermon Street; Tremont Street; Holly Street Preston Street (could now be Davis Terrace); Oakland Street; Proctor Street; Highland Street; North Street; Margin Street; Gardner Street; Water Street and Liberty Street.
