This article from the Salem Evening News from October 3rd, 1966 discusses the Golden Jubilee for the city of Peabody. This article states that the beginning of the Golden Jubilee was Sunday, October 2nd where the city began its celebration in all of the churchs in Peabody. After church there was an open house at the Peabody Garden Club. There was then a dedication to the John Lalikos Park in Rolling Hills neighborhood of Peabody. The park dedication featured family and friends of the late John Lalikos.
