Scope & Content The records of the Salem and Danvers Aqueduct, begun in 1797 and turned over to the town of Peabody in 1873, contain the minutes of the meetings, information regarding progress of construction of sewerage, notations regarding the transfer of dividends, problems encountered as construction began, rates and rules for use of water, complaints by customers about quality and quantity of water, decisions of corporation, elections of director and other officers, copies of leases and deeds for land purchased or rented and decisions made as corporation expanded.
